My favorite kind of weekend

You know those weekends where everyone is together and happy just enjoying each others company? We had that this past weekend, and it was lovely.........

We celebrated my moms birthday, with a taco dinner, red wine, and cake. She's been working so much lately and so busy,we wanted her to just get a night where she had nothing to do but be. My friend Jackie's birthday is the day before my moms,so we celebrated them togteher. She is practically family anyway.

I cleaned and cooked friday, everyone came that evening and we ate, we drank and we were merry:)

We don't get together as often as we should, and I plan on changing that. I love cooking for my family and I love hanging out with them. We are a crazy bunch!

Evelyn didn't make it for the cake part of the evening. She held out as long as she could.Poor baby is so spoiled,I have ruined her.She refuses anyone but me to hold her. She'll let her daddy and big brother and sister hold her.I think we hurt Baw Baws feelings. She'll outgrow it soon I'm sure. But I'm not going to lie, ( I kinda like it).......

the flags were so much fun to make!

                                                          make a wish ladies................
It was  a great night, the weather was breezy and we all (me) had a little too much wine.

Happy Birthday Mama and Jackie!

And a thank you to my mom,who is and was the best. She's always always thinking of others, they are  first. She always puts herself last, thank you for being so wonderful mama, I love you.

   twinkies...........

Anna telling a funny story I'm sure....she's a funny gal;)

Baw Baw played the memory game with Ava and Ella and later serenaded us with a little wipe out, while Ava proudly showed off her dance moves. Girls got it goin on! And she's not shy, not one bit.

I love lazy saturday mornings,I love when you wake up on the weekend to a clean house, and a pot of coffee brewing, happy kids, and a nice cool breeze. We enjoyed some time on the back porch saturday morning. Ava slept in, and Eli and Evelyn got a little snuggle time in while I enjoyed my second cup of coffee and daddy practiced shooting his bow.

Eli had his first real football game this weekend. They did great. We didn't win,but thats ok. The boys played really good. K.J. even scored a touchdown!

Ava and Ella tagged along and ran back and forth from the bleachers and playground, Evelyn had a blow out and I forgot to pack an extra outfit, but thankfully did not forget diapers and wipes. It was a good day. Next time,I'll rememeber the outfit.........
