All rolled in to one

I've had so much to write about in these last few weeks, but have not found any time to do it. So I'm squeezing it all in to one post!

Here goes.......

These past few weeks have been nothing short of exhausting. End of summer, Ava's birthday, sleepovers, school starting back, gymnastics, football, sick baby, sick kids, and so on and so on.

Evelyn has been having some trouble napping, as in she refuses to nap. I'm trying to just be patient and let this phase pass but she really does need her sleep. Her schedule was thrown off over summer break and we're still trying to get it back . Not easy. She's really growing up. Saying new words and doing new things everyday. She loves to climb on everything, the reason we no longer have our coffee table in the living room and no bar stools at the bar. She's scares me a little. Also, temper tantrums are in full effect! Wow, I forgot what the toddler years are like. #wakeupcall

So, Eli seems to be adjusting well to middle school, sounds so crazy to even say that! Its so different this year. His teachers seems nice, so I'm praying for a good year. He seems like a little man now, he growing up and I'm embracing it.

Ava loves her teacher and seems to love 3rd grade. She's very disappointed her friend Kelsey is not in her class this year, she talks about it almost everyday.

My dad had another back surgery a few weeks ago and it has been such a huge blessing! He has had so much relief with this surgery, we are so very thankful to God!

Here are tons of pictures from our last few weeks of summer......

She loves her baby, she's a good mommy.

I took the girls to pick blueberries one morning before it got too hot. Eli was at a friends house. This is a tradition for us. We look forward to doing this every year and it was Evelyn's first time, she loved it and ate blueberries the whole time we picked.  Ava was such a good helper, I don't know what I would do without her.

                               climbing.....all day, every day.

Eli at the world series. I am so proud of him! This was such a fun experience and I'm so glad he got the chance to play allstars this year. It was a lot of work and traveling but he loved it and that's all that matters.

Baby in a box, I think my kids will get cardboard boxes for Christmas this year.

We visited my mom and dad several times this summer and stayed a few nights. So thankful for the memories we made.

My grandma and grandpas garden and house in the background of this picture. Makes me happy.

Evelyn loves Mark, he sneaks her suckers:)

And Ava's 8th birthday. Its all happening so fast. Eight years, really?  How is this possible. We had so much fun the night before her party decorating her cake, the most fun I've ever had making a cake. She designed it and I helped a little with making the peace sign. She added all the sprinkles herself;)Love her so so much!
She loves skating, so a skating party we had!

Evelyn with my cousin and her baby cousin.

                                                        Woke up to this sweetness.....

                                                                 Bed Heads all around

We celebrated Ava's actual birthday at home with lunch and her friends and her favorite, ice cream cake. On the menu, Chicken Alfredo, Ava's request. Not every kid was into it, but Ava was! Oh happy day!

Summer nights. Making smores and one last sleepover.

                                                         This face. Its too much!

                                                             Fun with edible paint.

I bought this adorable lion cape from goodwill, I love it!
