Thank God!Because I really needed it.This last week at school has been exhausting, the kids have had so much energy and I'm sure they were just as ready to get out as we were.I feel so lucky to have such good kids and parents, they brought me in such great Christmas gifts:-)
I hope to have a very relaxing, productive and fun couple of weeks. My house is a disaster and I still have quite a bit of Christmas shopping to do.I really need to get Eli's room moved and get the baby's room cleaned out and ready to be painted.I just hope there is time for all of that with all the Christmas stuff that will be going on.
Baby update....things are going good,I'm feeling so much better. The nausea and the cold I had are gone, still a little cough but nothing like it was:)I'm feeling the baby move all over the place all the time.Ricky felt baby B a few nights ago,he or she was kicking like crazy!I go monday for my ultra sound,we still plan on waiting and not finding out what we are having.I have no desire to find out!I think it will be something great to experience.I'm really starting to feel that we are having another girl, which dosen't really mean anything because I was wrong with Eli and Ava.
Last weekend the kids and I made Christmas candy,we had so much fun!We made peanut butter balls, coconut balls and red velvet cake balls. It was an all day process but the kids loved it.We cranked up the Chrismas music and got busy,I'll post some pics and the recipe's for the candy. All were super easy just a little time consuming.Hopefully during my time off I'll catch up a little more on my blogging, until then.........
Here is the recipe for the peanut butter balls.
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine , softened
I bag of Wilton chocolate candy melts
Stir together powdered sugar, peanut butter and butter until well mixed.
Shape peanut butter mixture into 1 inch balls, placing them on a baking sheet covered with waxed paper.
Let balls stand for 20 minutes until dry.
Melt the dipping chocolate(I put it in microwave about 1 minute)
Drop balls one at a time in melted chocolate.
Using a fork, remove from the chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off.
Place back on the waxed paper.
Let stand until dry.
Store tightly covered in a cool dry place.
