Wow,time is really flying! Evelyn is 2 1/2 weeks old.She is growing and changing so much.She's awake a lot more and very alert.She is actually sleeping really good too(knock on wood). I'm not expecting her to continue with the good sleeping but I am hoping she does:-)Although last night she was up a lot,every hour or 2.We had a hard time the 1st few days with nursing but she's doing so much better latching on. I took her to the Dr. the monday after she was born and she was down 10 oz. so when I took her back for her 2 week check up last week she had gained 6 oz. back.I was really hoping for more but Dr. Phillips said that was perfect and she looked great.We have been suplementing formula at night,it seems to help her sleep better and she seems more content.Its funny because she knows when its time for a bottle,she refuses to let me nurse her and only accepts the bottle.Its so funny how she can know already!
The kids are adjusting really well,they love her so much.They are always wanting to hold her and Eli helps me so much,he changes her,feeds her,and is willing to do whatever.He can't get enough of her and he is so very proud.Ava is so happy to have a sister.I'm trying really hard to include them in everything with her.I don't want them to feel left out or to ever resent her or us for having her.They are doing great!
I am completly in love!She is so precious and perfect.God knew exactly what he was doing,and why would I ever doubt that?! I stop and think about how we were just discussing having another one it seems like just yesterday and now she's here.My pregnancy went by so quickly and so far the weeks that she's been here are going by so so fast!Wish I could slow it down.
Well,today is our 13th wedding anniversary.Doesn't seem like its been that long but when I think of all we've done over the years it does.I am so so blessed to have him in my life.God truly put us together,there is no doubt in my head.I could have never asked for anyone better.He is a very supportive and loving man and I love him more than ever today!
