Tonight, I think about my dad. The best man I have ever known and so thankful to call him my daddy.
The past few weeks have been nothing short of crazy. Crazy, and exahuasting, and crazy again.
My dad had back surgery a few weeks ago,he had a device implated into his back near his spine. A spinal cord stimulator is what its technically called. He had been waiting on this surgery for a while. Waiting for the insurance company to approve it and all.
It has been a rollercoaster. He ended up getting an infection and having to have the device removed. All together now at this point he has had 3 surgeries.
My dad is in constant pain and never complains. He is one of the best people I know. I want to be more like him. We have prayed and prayed for God to heal him,and we believe that He will.
I am so thankful for my mom who has been there with him constantly. I know to him she is everything. She takes good care of him and we are so thankful for her.I know this is hard on her too,but she wouldn't have it any other way.
They are both two of the hardest working people I know. And since this has come about they have not been able to work. We are so thankful for a community who is coming together to help us help them. We are so blessed to have a local restaraunt allow us to use their facilities to have a benefit for my dad,we have tons of people donating items or giftcards for a silent auction. So many friends lifting them up in prayer and telling us how much they love them. It means so much. I pray that this helps them get through this right now.
Its been so hard to see my dad not able to do the things that I take for granted everyday. I try to think of him everytime I want to complain about something little thats nothing at all. He is going through so much right now and I still hear no complaints from him. He's a saint!
So tonight before I go to sleep, I'll think of him. I'll think of what a good person he is and pray that God helps me to be more like that person.
I love you daddy.........get well soon.
You are an incredible person, Lynsey! I will continue to pray every single day! Love y'all!!!
