Evelyn June's 1st Birthday Party!

I wanted to share some pictures from Evelyn's party.

I worked so hard on this party. I made most of the decorations, which I loved doing! I knew I wanted to theme the party around Evelyn's highchair so I went with a vintage theme. I got so much inspiration from pinterest. I looked until I thought my head would explode from information overload! The only thing I look back at and wish I would have done differently is take more pictures of her with my family. When you're hosting a party you just forget. I wish I had gotten some with her other grandparents and my dad.:( I can't go back, unfortuantly.

So, here are some pictures of her big day! Still hard to believe she's one!

Her cake. I went back and forth over the cake. Part of me wanted to do a big three tier cake, but its so much work and my goal was simple. I didn't want to stress out. I wanted to enjoy her party and the day with her, so I decided to make her a cake and cupcakes for the guests. Although I will say that cake was huge for a small cake and we still have half of it!
Since she loves berries, I made a strawberry cake using Paula Deen's recipe. with buttercream frosting.

Her dress is Matilda Jane. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be the perfect dress for her party!

            The invitations. I ordered the jpeg file from etsy, very inexpensive and I just loved them!

She had this look on her face almost the whole time. I think she was trying to figure out what was going on! sweet baby.
