Starting School

Its so hard for me to believe how fast Eli and Ava are growing up.Today Eli started the 3rd grade and Ava(my baby)started kindergarten!I have no idea where the time went!It flew straight out the window,I just wish it would slow down a little.
The were both excited,Ava was definatly more excited than Eli,but he's been going a lot longer than her so its not so new to him anymore!
Eli did not want me to walk him in this morning which was kind of sad,because I know he's growing up and wanting to be more independant,so in a way its a good thing,Right;);)?So I just dropped him off in the car rider line like we did last year,as we pulled up he said,"Mama,my stomach feels kinda funny".I told him it was probaly his nerves and he said he was not nervous because he was at this school last year:)I told him everyone was a little nervous on the 1st day,even the teachers(and the moms)!I left that little part out;)He jumped right out and was on his way without looking back!He's growing up!

I walked Ava into her classroom which is the 1st hall,so she's super close to the front.Its a good thing so she won't have to walk far in the mornings to get to her classroom.She was ready!Luckily we got Eli's kindergarten teacher who we already knew and Ava knows her,it made me feel better knowing that she has that familar face there:)I told myself I would not cry or seem upset and I'm pretty proud of myself,I did good!I took her in her room,walked her to her table and she sat down and started coloring,we hugged and kissed a few times and she did seem a little nervous,so I tried not to linger,that would only make it worse.I left and she didn't turn around just colored away!She's got that independence too and I really am glad because I know she will be ok!I just ca'nt wait to pick them up this afternoon and hear about their day!

I'm not even going to lie,I'm really enjoying the peace and quiet today:)This has been the craziest,busiest summer I can ever remember!There have been 5 to 7 and even sometimes 10 kids at my house every single day this summer,I love kids but enough is enough!!!I needed a break bad!
