Its here,wow 2011 flew by!Each year seems to go faster than the last.We celebrated New Years Eve at home with the kids and of course the dog;)Lots of fun,we had amazing weather for the last day of 2011,it was in the 60's,*thats what you get when you live in the south,I suppose*I even got to sit out on the front porch and read a book,it made me ache for summer and warmer days.Oh well,I'll just have to wait a few more months for that.We cooked out hamburgers on the grill and watched Dick Clarks Rockin' New Years Eve with the kids,they were very energized last night(to say the least)they were cracking us up with their dance moves and just their crazy selves in general.I almost didn't make it to the bathroom in time a few times TMI.....To sum up or New Years Eve celebration we had a great time hanging out at home with each other.This was much better than the past years when they've gone to grandma's and we went out.Although I must admit,the only one of us that made it to the exact moment of the new year was Ricky.I passed out well before midnight!Oh well,I'll give it another shot next year.
We also got a nice fireworks show from the neighbors,we had the perfect veiw from our couch:)Couldn't have been any better!
I'm not huge on making tons of New Years resolutions,so I won't start this year.But I do have hopes for a few things this year,and if they are Gods plan then they will be.A few things I would love to do this year is definatly travel somewhere new,or maybe even take the kids to Charleston.They've been asking since we got back in 2010,or better yet New York!I would love for our whole family to run a 5k together,of course it will have to be in the fall after this baby is here and I'm somewhat back to my old self,which hopefully will not take me years.I want to read more than I did last year,which means I'll have to try not to be busy all the time,I want to take time to smell the roses and enjoy all the small things in life,with the new baby coming we'll see how this goes,ha!I want to camp more,grow closer to God,and finally finish decorating one room in my house before moving on to another.God has blessed my family in so many ways,I have healthy kids and a healthy baby growing inside my belly right now.I have a husband who loves me,supports me and does absolutly everything he can for his family.God has been good to me and I am so very thankful for that,I'm thankful for another year with my family!Happy 2012 everyone!!
